Turtle shell fan is a perennial succulent shrub in the cactus family and genus, named Turtle shell fan. The plant grows in subtropical climates, with a flowering period usually in summer, and reproduces asexually (by offshoot propagation and cutting). Its storage environment requires a granular soil type, commonly cultivated in greenhouse conditions, and it tolerates an average annual temperature of 21.5°C.
